Maternal and Neonatal Death Review (MNDR): A Useful Approach to Identifying Appropriate and Effective Maternal and Neonatal Health Initiatives in Bangladesh

摘要: Objectives: To identify the effects of Maternal and Neonatal Death Review (MNDR) in terms im- proving maternal neonatal health at community level Bangladesh. Methods: Both quan- titative qualitative methods were undertaken for collecting data Kashipur Union, Bangla- desh. notifications from households, subsequent collections a focus-group discus- sion (FGD), group discussion (GD) in-depth interviews (IDIs) obtained using structured tools guidelines. Results: A total four deaths, 21 deaths 15 still births reported MNDR death notification system Union 2010. Data presented to local programme managers, who took various initiatives including awareness pro- grammes, pregnancy registration, antenatal care, birth planning, also revitalization clinic. The coverage delivery clinics, postnatal care referral complications increased through active participation community. Community health- providers, recipients members expressed satisfaction with quality services. In preceding two years, substantially reduced (in 2011 = 1, 20, 8; 2012 8, 13). Conclusions: successfully delivered all defined area collected information formulation implementation specific interventions, which resulted visible tangible changes care-seeking client satisfaction.
