Dimeric sialyl-Lex expression in gastric carcinoma correlates with venous invasion and poor outcome

摘要: Abstract Background & Aims: High expression of sialyl-Le x in tumors different organs correlates with hematogenous metastasis and adverse outcome. Dimeric gastric carcinoma was evaluated, its prognostic significance within this setting determined. Methods: immunohistochemical 97 carcinomas analyzed using the FH6 monoclonal antibody. Scoring based on percentage immunoreactive cells: negative, low (≤25%), high (>25%). Results: Immunoreactivity observed 45 cases (46.4%), encompassing 27 18 expression, respectively. Significant relationships were found between dimeric venous invasion ( P = 0.0025) histological classification 0.05). No correlation other clinicopathologic features.
