摘要: This study investigated several aspects related to drought tolerance in arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) soybean plants. The investigation included both shoot and root tissues order reveal the preferred target tissue for AM effects against stress. Non-AM plants were grown under well-watered or drought-stressed conditions, leaf water status, solute accumulation, oxidative damage lipids, other parameters determined. Results showed that protected drought, as shown by their significantly higher shoot-biomass production. potential was also stressed (-1.9 MPa) than non-AM (-2.5 MPa). roots had accumulated more proline roots, while opposite observed shoots. Lipid peroxides 55% lower shoots of droughted Since there no correlation between lipids activity antioxidant enzymes, it seems first symbiosis enhanced osmotic adjustment which could contribute maintaining a gradient favourable entrance from soil into roots. enabled during kept stress, these cumulative increased plant drought.
