摘要: In the late 1950s, two revolutionary developments took place in field of contraception: reintroduction IUDs and development oral contraceptives (OCs). OCs first became available for general clinical use U.S.A. 1960 were rapidly adopted other countries, being most popular reversible method contraception world today. It is estimated that up to 40% women between 15 44 years age Western Europe pill. Two decades after IUD some 50 60 million devices have been throughout world, mostly China developing countries. However, initial enthusiasm both contraceptive methods has tempered by increasing reports complications. Wide-scale long-term usage represents a potential health problem large numbers healthy young are exposed effects these drugs devices. Particular concern exists steroid or an increased risk cancer cervix.
