摘要: Abstract Radioactive estradiol-17β was injected into premenopausal women with cervical carcinoma and healthy controls after which all urine collected for 5 days assayed estrone (E 1 ), estradiol 2 estriol 3 radioactivity associated these fractions. Endogenous E production rates were calculated from the results of assays. The younger control group (mean age, 30 years) excreted more had higher :E ratios than older 45 years). patients lower mean less in fractions controls. rate increased Stage 0 carcinoma. significance findings, including possibility that estrogen (or a relative increase production) fostered development initial stages carcinoma, has been discussed
