摘要: River landscapes have served as areas for settlements, infrastructure, and production several thousand years. They provide water drinking, cooling, irrigation, fish food supply or recreational fishing, flood protection, they can cultural esthetic value. The increasing intensification of land use the associated channelization, damming, other radical changes (e.g., through operation hydropower plants) led to a shift functions related services available in river landscapes. To counteract this trend, one first step is enhance public awareness their importance.
