摘要: Additive manufacturing has been introduced in the early 80s and gained importance as a process ever since. Even though inception of implicated processes predominantly focused on prototyping purposes, during last years rapid (RP) emerged key enabling technology for fabrication highly customized, functionally gradient materials. This paper reviews friction-related wear phenomena corresponding deterioration mechanisms RP-generated components well potential improving materials' resistance without significantly altering itself. The briefly introduces concept RP technologies materials, premises to process-dependent progression generated various degeneration scenarios (dry sliding, fretting, etc.).
