摘要: Nonhomeostatic eating is a complex (presumably) multidimensional construct associated with negative health outcomes. However, little research has examined the latent structure of nonhomeostatic processes, interrelationships among constructs, and differential associations between constructs external correlates. This study adopted validation approach to investigate these questions in large sample undergraduate women men (N = 998; 54.6% female). Exploratory confirmatory factor analyses were conducted on items from 8 measures representing numerous process (e.g., binge eating, loss control [LOC] over "food addiction"). The 7-factor retained solution included following: (1) emotional (2) (3) LOC (4) overeating, (5) distress (6) hedonic hunger, (7) food addiction. was most strongly related other factors (M rs .71 .65 men, respectively). Factor score multiple regressions separately by sex indicated that body mass index, depressive symptoms, eating-related clinical impairment both men. In women, addiction demonstrated unique emotion dysregulation, impairment, whereas overeating uniquely predicted outcomes first comprehensive analysis processes correlates, results suggest (in women), men) exhibited strongest relations psychosocial impairment.
