摘要: Abstract Deltamethrin, a synthetic dibromo-pyrethroid insecticide, is extensively used in agriculture, forestry and household products because of its high activity against broad spectrum insect pests (both adults larvae), low animal toxicity lack persistence the environment. Data on genotoxicity carcinogenicity deltamethrin are rather controversial, depending genetic system or assay used. The aim this study was to further evaluate potential genotoxic deltamethrin. vitro has been evaluated by assessing ability insecticide damage DNA (as using single-cell microgel-electrophoresis ‘comet’ assay) induce sister-chromatid exchanges (SCE) micronuclei (MN) human peripheral blood leukocytes. All treatments were conducted with without presence an external bioactivation source (±S9mix). results indicate that deltamethrin, metabolic activation (+S9mix), able (double- single-strand breaks, alkali-labile sites open excision repair sites) as revealed increasing tail moment values observed doses. frequency SCE MN not statistically increased deltamethrin-treated cells compared controls, both S9mix. However, lower doses tested, assay, cytotoxicity.
