Root Z-Epicanthoplasty in Asian Eyelids

摘要: In the eyelids of Asians, presence epicanthal folds and absence supratarsal are a unique feature. The resulting appearance leads many to seek cosmetic improvement in medial canthal area. Although techniques have been described for elimination folds, scarring complexity design still barriers surgeons overcome. From July 1998 May 2000, authors used root Z-epicanthoplasty on 30 Asian patients correct folds. Results were satisfactory all patients, with no complications. Root Z-epicanthoplasty, as performed by authors, is simple procedure; there minimal area tension.
