摘要: There is considerable evidence that American workers face lower risks of job loss in recent years than 10, 20, or 30 earlier. I summarize some the for this claim and explain why decline matters. My attention centers on “unwelcome” loss: employer-initiated separations lead to unemployment, temporary persistent drops earnings, other significant costs losers. Since there no fully satisfactory statistic incidence loss, consider several measures data sources.
