摘要: We describe here the use of 3 established nerve growth factor (NGF) targets (cultured neurons from dissociated chick embryo sympathetic ganglia, and or neonatal mouse dorsal root ganglia) to investigate neuronotrophic activities in conditioned media (CMs) from: (i) heart; (ii) purified Schwann cells; (iii) clonal rat Schwannoma RN22 cells. In ganglionic cultures, all CMs supported survival same number as did submaxillary NGF, most cases no increased resulted concurrent administration NGF any one CM. CM were quantitated each responsive cell systems. No differences seen when either test population was used for agent, different examined on The activity, unlike that not blocked by even excess amounts antiserum against NGF. activity appears reside with macromolecular constituents. None displayed trophic neurons. However, at least them (RN22 medium) had drastic effects these cells presence leaving open possibility a 'toxic' overriding putative agents.
