摘要: Abstract Background Prodromal syndromes often begin in adolescence — a period of neurodevelopmental changes and heightened stress sensitivity. Research has shown elevated cortisol individuals at clinical high risk (CHR) for psychosis. This cross-sectional study examined relations age pubertal status with self-reported healthy controls (HCs) CHR adolescents. It was hypothesized that the stage would be more pronounced youth. Methods Participants were 93 HCs 348 adolescents from North American Prodrome Longitudinal Study (NAPLS). At baseline, measures (Daily Stress Inventory DSI), Tanner (TS), salivary obtained. Results ANCOVA revealed increased DSI scores both groups, higher than HCs, difference females. Contrary to prediction, controlled, showed greater TS-related increases. Analysis no significant interactions, but main effect trend toward group. Correlations TS HC Conclusions adolescents, also HCs. The results do not support or increase instead suggest indices tend earlier Potential determinants findings future directions are discussed.
