Behavioural surveillance of sexually-related risk behaviours of the Chinese male general population in Hong Kong: a benchmark study.

摘要: The objective of the study was to establish a behavioural surveillance system (BSS) for sexually-related risk behaviours Hong Kong adult male general population. Benchmark data were obtained by interviewing 1,020 respondents, age 18 60. results showed that: (1) 14% respondents had engaged in commercial sex past six months, (2) 27% clients did not always use condoms when having sexual intercourse with workers (CSWs), (3) 1.5% contracted sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) (4) 6.1% only ever man, (5) 0.8% practised unprotected anal man six-month period, (6) 4.4% high behaviours, defined as CSW or and (7) 36.4% those who used their regular partners. Commercial often outside Kong, very commonly Mainland China Macau, at multiple locations same client. Effective programmes have be able reduce size at-risk This together future ones, will form first BSS population provide relevant yardstick programme evaluation.
