摘要: This study investigated the behavior of hypertensive-prone and nonhypertensive-prone rat strains to see whether there are differences in behavioral reactivity environmental stimulation. Of primary interest was general activity, because investigators have assumed it be an index stimulation correlated with elevation blood pressure spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) but not normotensive Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats. Therefore, activity assessed SHRs WKYs as a function walking rearing open field (Experiments 1 2) crossings shuttlebox test 3, 4, 5). Activity under constant level (Experiment 1) 3) or varying degrees 4 In shuttlebox, SHR above WKY when degree constant. However, manipulated, similar for all intensity levels, while inversely related stimulus intensity. These results suggest that may generally more active than WKYs, display greater SHRs.
