摘要: The spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) is an excellent model of essential disease. Hyperreactivity has been postulated as a contributing factor in the development high blood pressure SHR and man. In maturing organism recurring stress responses may promote permanent vascular changes result fixed hypertension. Simple behavioral activity emotionality rating scales were used to compare large number with equally groups closely-related distantly-related normotensive rats. As predicted, clearly more active emotional than their ancestral Wistar Kyoto (WKY) strain. However, Wistars did not differ from either or emotionality. These results indicate that behavior hypertension are necessarily related rat. Nonetheless, differences between closest genetic match, WKY, suggest arousal levels be causally linked this case naturally occurring
