Electron microscopy of fine-needle aspiration biopsies of the mediastinum

摘要: Twenty cases of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy mediastinal tumors with ultrastructural studies the aspirated material were reviewed. The classified according to cytologic and diagnosis. A specimen insufficient for study was obtained in five (25%). Refinement diagnosis made three (15%) good correlation between initial impression seen remaining (60%). Comparison different sites FNA revealed a higher rate examination involving mediastinum. Illustrative use electron microscopy biopsies are presented.
