摘要: The mediastinum is the host for a number of relatively unusual primary neoplasms, as well frequent recipient metastatic tumors. From perspective fine-needle aspiration cytomorphology, several distinct patterns are yielded. polygonal (or epithelial-like) cell pattern may be seen with benign and malignant thymomas, germinomas, embryonal carcinoma, many carcinomas. An intimate admixture small lymphocytes these epithelial cells occur in this category. produced by non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, neuroblastoma, carcinoid tumors, oat carcinoma. Uncommon morphologic forms thymoma mesenchymal lesions, yield picture spindle-cell proliferation. In addition to cytologist needs integrate clinical, radiographic, immunocytochemical, ultrastructural data formulate final diagnosis.
