摘要: Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the oral and dental findings in children with Fanconi anemia (FA). Methods included 26 FA patients who came hospital (Hacettepe University Faculty Medicine, Pediatric Hematology Unit) from central region Anatolia (17 [65%] mole, 9 [35%] female; mean age = 10.0 +/- 5.2 years (range 2-18; median years]). Oral radiological examinations salivary collection were performed at Department Dentistry Hacettepe Dentistry. Results Among children: (a) 16 (62%) had never visited a dentist; (b) 6 (23%) dentist once; (c) 4 (15%) regularly. Furthermore: only 5 (19%) brushed their teeth regularly; 7 (27%) previously; other 14 (54%) rarely. prevalence caries 35% study's patients. Gingival examination revealed that (35%) gingivitis 17 (65%) normal gingival health status. Examination cavity that: 3 (12%) coated tongue; 1 (4%) papillary atrophy. No leukoplakia or precancerous lesion detected patient group. Salivary flow rate less than 0.7 ml/minute 56% pH 5. buffering capacity 5, however, (33%). Radiological evaluation most common congenital abnormalities were: (1) microdontia (44%); (2) congenitally missing (26%); (3) transposition (9%); (4) supernumerary (4%). Conclusion These results demonstrate poor hygiene, decay, gingivitis, abnormalities--including generalized microdontia, teeth, transposition, teeth--are group Turkish anemia.
