摘要: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is an incurable global health burden and characterised by progressive airflow limitation loss of lung function. In addition to the impact disease, COPD patients often develop comorbid diseases such as cardiovascular skeletal muscle wasting, cancer osteoporosis. One key feature COPD, yet underappreciated, contribution oxidative stress in onset development disease. Patients experience increased due combined effects excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) nitrogen (RNS) generation, antioxidant depletion reduced enzyme activity. Currently, there a lack effective treatments for even greater research regarding interventions that treat both its comorbidities. Due involvement pathogenesis many comorbidities, unique therapeutic opportunity arises where treatment multitude may be possible with only one target. this review, roles ROS/RNS context cancer, osteoporosis are discussed potential benefit anti-oxidative these conditions outlined. Because interplay between diseases, represents novel target
