摘要: ABSTRACT Two pig experiments were conducted using a methionine (Met)-deficient feather meal- corn-soybean meal basal diet (13% CP; 3,400 kcal ME/kg diet, .126% Met, .456% cystine) supplemented with an amino acid mixture (lysine, tryptophan, histidine, threonine and phenylalanine) to determine the Met requirement of finishing pigs between 50 80 kg live weight. Using young chicks in bioavailability growth assay cecectomized adult cockerels digestibility assay, Met-deficient was found contain .115% bioavailable and. 110% digestible Met. These results gave estimate (relative DL-Met set at 100%) 91.3 + 2.5% true 87,0 2.2% for diet. In Exp. t, 2I crossbred averaging 61 initially individually fed diets containing. 115,. 165 or .215 % 21 d. Average daily gain gain:feed ratio increased quadratically (P < .05) as level increased. 2, 30 53 containing .115, .135, .155, .175 .195% 27 Daily gain: feed responded linearly .01) Based on weight range estimated be .182% Assuming 88% commercial based corn soybean meal, total needed practice would .207%.
