摘要: Abstract Here we report a comparative analysis of interleukin-16 (IL-16) expression by microglial cells the normal rat brain in trimethyltin (TMT) neurotoxicity, experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU), encephalomyelitis (EAE), and viral infection (Borna disease, Borna disease virus) immunohistochemistry. Striking differences were observed. In contrast to human brain, IL-16 was not expressed constitutively brain. Remote activation optic tract EAU did result into expression. TMT intoxication induced hippocampus. EAE BDV, massive + could be seen. Thus, is descriptor cell that discriminates between different models, might valuable marker for detection microglia central nervous system (CNS) diseases.
