摘要: The tidal flats of Korea today have reduced by 40% in size compared to 1964. To manage this important habitat properly, development well-organized and nationwide-applicable grading systems is required. There been several assessment proposed previously Korea, but they are critically flawed that selected biological indicators not adequate criteria obscure arbitrary. We reviewed the used these previous evaluation (e.g., diversity indices, quantity quality benthic macrofauna, halophytes, water birds, etc.) subsequently new an improved scheme. For quantitative macrobenthic community, biomass reflecting production ecosystem function recommended over density, which much less discriminatory among habitats. Of biodiversity indices used, within-, between-habitat regional accurately reflect sampling efforts suggested. In addition, we include species rarity, engineers, ecological index ISEP (Inverse Shannon-Wiener Evenness Proportion). As for their low spatial coverage on suggests presence can be as indicator habitat, regardless protective status. stress need introduce 1) quantile approach diversity, biomass, relation grading, 2) presence-absence or aggregate boundaries halophytes feeding ground birds) 3) mapping combines all indicators.
