Criteria and Evaluation of Local Tidal Flats for Designating Conservation Sites in the Southwestern Coast of Korea

摘要: Designating conservation sites is needed for the preservation and management of tidal flats, also objective criteria, by which values flats can be evaluated, are required to designate sites. A set new evaluation criteria or was suggested in this study. The based on six items including scarcity, diversity, naturalness, uniqueness, destruction possibility will, ave advantages with easy economic assessments possible using basic data from preceding studies. results three different lats (Muan, Jeungdo-1 Jeungdo-2) southwestern coast Korea reveal that all he evaluated classified into grade 2. flat got highest valuation score (86.7), next Muan (85.0) Jeungdo-2 (82.5). superior uniqueness possibility, diversity naturalness.
