Biocompatibility of Root Canal Sealers: A Systematic Review of In Vitro and In Vivo Studies.

摘要: (1) Aim: To perform a systematic review of the literature on biocompatibility root canal sealers that encompasses various types are commercially available as well both in vitro and vivo evidence. (2) Methods: This has been registered PROSPERO (ID 140445) was carried out according to PRISMA guidelines using following databases: PubMed, Cochrane Library, ClinicalTrials.gov, Science Direct, Web Core Collection. Studies published between 2000 11 June 2019 evaluated cytotoxicity (cell viability/proliferation) (tissue response) were included. (3) Results: From total 1249 studies, 73 21 studies In general, suggest elicit mild severe toxic effects several factors may influence biocompatibility, e.g., material setting condition time, concentration, type exposure. Bioactive endodontic seem exhibit lower potential vitro. (4) Conclusions: The evidence shows variable at cellular tissue level. However, methodological heterogeneity among included this somewhat conflicting results do not allow conclusion which sealer presents higher biocompatibility. Further research is crucial achieve better understanding biological sealers.
