Cytotoxicity of two resin-based sealers and a fluoride varnish on human gingival fibroblasts.

摘要: Introduction: Assessment of cellular cytotoxicity is a regular method for evaluating the biocompatibility novel materials. In recent study, 5% fluoride varnish (Duraflur) has shown reasonable sealing ability and coverage root canal walls when used as sealer. The aim present study was to compare Duraflur with two popular commonly sealers (AH-Plus AH-26) on human gingival fibroblasts (HGF). Methods Materials: HGFs were incubated different concentrations (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) AH-plus, AH-26, 24 h. percentage cell viability assessed methyl-thiazol-tetrazolium (MTT) assay. data analyzed using one-way ANOVA followed by Student-Newman-Keuls test. level significance set at 0.001. Results: MTT assay showed that higher tested materials resulted in lower HGFs. AH-Plus significantly greater compared AH-26 all dilutions (P 0.001). except 1/2 dilution (P<0.001). Conclusion: Although had better it should still be evaluated further tests such intraosseous subcutaneous implantation.
