摘要: Identifying protected areas most susceptible to climate change and deforestation represents critical information for determining conservation investments. Development of effective landscape interventions is required ensure the preservation protection these essential ecosystem service provision, provide high biodiversity value, serve a habitat connectivity role. We identified vulnerable in humid tropical forest biome using metrics 2050 future risk 2024 modeled from historical global drivers deforestation. Results show distinct continental regional patterns combined threats areas. Eleven Mha (2%) area was exposed highest should be prioritized investments focused on adaptation stressors. Global lowest but risks totaled 135 (26%). Thirty-five percent South America’s fell into this category increasing size facilitate species movement. combination 89 (17%), were disproportionately located Africa (34%) Asia indicating opportunities low-risk improved potential refugia. This type biome-scale, analysis, combining both threats, informing policies maximize environmental increase resilience change.
