摘要: Abstract Background Patient teaching is regarded as an important aspect of nursing care well essential part the profession. In practice, a distinction can be made between formal (planned) and informal (spontaneous) patient teaching. The major research within area spite fact that spontaneous occurs in everyday there lack knowledge this area. Objectives aim was to illuminate pedagogical dimensions situations Design study fieldwork frames life-world phenomenological tradition. Participants setting Fifteen registered nurses general medical ward university hospital Sweden were followed their daily work with patients. Twelve patients suffering from various chronic diseases interviewed. Methods observations comprised total 173h on 34 separate occasions. Informal dialogues carried through. Further, interviews conducted 12 observed data analysed by means approach. Results Two different encounters are presented: "Players field encounters", which breakdown dialogue, same dialogue develops. Patients' experiences seeking acquiring these two types encounter characterised "worry" versus "preparedness". dignity either threatened or supported, depending type encounter.
