摘要: The availability of recombinant somatotropin (ST) in the eighties resulted an exponential increase investigations effects this molecule. Numerous studies have been performed pig which is very responsive to porcine ST (pST) treatment. aim present paper review latest data concerning biology and actions pST pigs. are mediated at least part by insulin-like growth factor-I. Changes hormones binding proteins plasma as well receptors expression target tissues considered during development response nutritional status. Somatotropin involved regulation many physiological processes. presented with a special emphasis on adipose tissue skeletal muscle. In growing pig, reduction lipid deposition results primarily from decrease rate oflipogenesis. muscle mass treatment involves protein synthesis. also stimulates longitudinal affects metabolism all nutrients classes. performance meat quality pigs reproductive system then presented. It has shown that consistently improved including average daily gain feed efficiency without adversely affecting functions quality.
