摘要: Abstract Gold and platinum nanoparticles of few-nm size were deposited on amorphous silicon nitride (a-SiN) films. These samples irradiated with 1.1 MeV C603+ ions to a fluence ∼5 × 1010 ions/cm2 observed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The ion tracks clearly seen as bright spots the metal disappeared from neighboring region (5–10 nm) around each track. platinum-nanoparticle-cleared is slightly smaller than that gold nanoparticles. This trend can be reproduced by u-TS calculations assuming are desorbed when local temperature surpasses melting point was predicted molecular dynamics simulations (Anders et al., 2009). indicates distribution in nanometer evaluated observing desorption different metals having temperatures.
