The diagnostic value of serum fucosylated fetuin A in hepatitis B virus-related liver diseases

摘要: BACKGROUND Some changes of glycoproteins have been identified in the serum patients with different liver diseases, which provided potential glycan biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring disease progression. METHODS We established a lectin-antibody sandwich ELISA method to detect fucosylated fetuin A (fuc-fetuin A) level serum, biotinylated Aleuria aurantia lectin (AAL) was used specific recognition. Then fuc-fetuin detected 108 healthy controls 548 hepatitis B virus (HBV)-infected patients, including 232 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) 114 cirrhosis (LC) 86 fibrosis (LF) 116 asymptomatic HBV carriers, assess its diagnostic prognostic value HBV-related diseases. RESULTS Serum decreased LC as compared HCC or controls, while it further according increasing Child-Pugh grades. The decreasing order LC, HCC, LF, HBV-carriers controls. For distinguishing from area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve is 0.871, sensitivity 0.818 specificity 0.819. survival analysis revealed that higher significantly associated worse recurrence-free (p=0.018). CONCLUSIONS results indicated might serve biomarker Furthermore, preoperative could be useful patients.
