摘要: The proapoptotic Bcl-2 family members Bak and Bax play central redundant roles in the regulation of apoptosis. In this study, we investigated effect loss CNS. adult bax-/-bak-/- mice display masses densely staining cells proliferative zones brain. These are shown to be a mix neural progenitor postmitotic at different stages glial differentiation. Both mature neurons derived from were resistant various apoptotic stimuli. Despite resistance, remain as sensitive excitoxic death wild-type neurons. Thus, critical role regulating number brain but not absolutely required for initiation neuronal cell after neurotoxic injury.
