摘要: Experimental nutrient (N, P, and N+P) additions to shallow (ca. 1 m)Cymodocea nodosa (Ucria) Aschers. stands growing in patches a continuous meadow Mediterranean Bay (Alfacs Bay, NE Spain) 1988 demonstrated mid-summer growth be strongly P-limited, as suggested by the high N:P ratios (>35) unmanipulated plants. P resulted increased leaf content, reduced ratios, enhanced shoot turnover both populations. These effects promoted turn stand response, leading biomass and, therefore, areal productivity plots receiving P. The response was largely attributable doubling of density, indicating rhizome branching.
