摘要: Purpose: The involvement of microRNAs in cancer and their potential as biomarkers diagnosis prognosis are becoming increasingly appreciated. We sought to identify altered head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) determine whether microRNA expression is predictive disease. Experimental Design: RNA isolated from fresh-frozen primary tumors, nondiseased epithelial tissues, HNSCC lines was profiled for the 662 by microarray. that were both differentially expressed on array quantitative reverse transcription-PCR subsequently validated using a total 99 samples 14 normal epithelia. Results: A marked difference pattern observed between tumors lines. Eighteen significantly tissues tumors. Four these larger sample series, each showed significant differential ( P Conclusions: These data suggest cultured tumor inappropriate biomarker identification reflective disease status, with certain exhibiting strong potential. results indicate miR-221 miR-375 should be evaluated further diagnostic because they may hold utility defining broadly responsive prevention treatment strategies HNSCC.
