摘要: Hyaluronan (HA) is a ubiquitous component of extracellular matrices, and in several systems it plays central role regulating cellular proliferation differentiation. Cell, or tissue,-specific functions HA are likely to be mediated by cell, HA-binding proteins. We previously hyaluronan-binding protein from rat cat (Jaworski et al., 1994). In view the potential neural differentiation, we examined expression BEHAB during late embryonic early postnatal development rat. expressed at very high levels ventricular zones throughout neuraxis. Expression first detected day 15 (E15) spinal cord, progressively more rostral later ages. expression, like other features development, follows both caudal-to-rostral ventral-to-dorsal gradients. The timing parallels generation glial cells. all areas CNS examined, begins after peak neurogenesis coincident with gliogenesis. regulation differentiation tissues, together mitotic activity glia, suggests that matrix encoded could play glia.
