摘要: The purpose of these studies was to develop a metastatic osteosarcoma nude mouse model evaluate the in vivo efficacy new therapeutic compounds. Human SAOS-2 cells (10(6) cells) were injected i.v. into mice. Cells isolated from rare pulmonary metastases 6 months later established (SAOS-LM1) culture and re-injected. This procedure repeated 5 additional times produce SAOS-LM6 cell line. Visible nodules present 8 weeks following injection 10(6) as compared 17 using SAOS-LM2 cells. Microscopic demonstrated at weeks. Administration adriamycin on week 9 resulted regression macroscopic lung tumors. ability be used effectiveness biologic agent against microscopic disease also verified. It concluded that this can assess therefore, may have role investigating potential novel approaches aimed eliminating osteosarcoma.
