摘要: For over two decades, deep brain stimulation (DBS) has shown significant efficacy in treatment for refractory cases of dyskinesia, specifically Parkinson's disease and dystonia. DBS offers potential alleviation from symptoms through a well-tolerated procedure that allows personalized modulation targeted neuroanatomical regions related circuitries. clinicians contending with how to provide patients meaningful often debilitating intractable disorders, DBSs titratability reversibility make it an attractive option indications ranging traumatic injury progressive epileptic supra-synchrony. The expansion our collective knowledge pathologic circuitries, as well advances imaging capabilities, electrophysiology techniques, material sciences have contributed the expanding application DBS. This review will examine neurologic psychiatric disorders currently under clinical investigation summarize findings recent animal models.
