摘要: Abstract Background Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and cervical cancer disproportionately affect low-income minority women. HPV vaccines have the potential to either reduce or exacerbate racial disparities in HPV-related diseases cancers, depending on equitability of vaccine uptake. Objectives This review aims identify barriers facilitators equitable uptake vaccination among girls. discusses factors related race, ethnicity, income that are associated with initiation completion rates 3-dose series presents targets for intervention. Methods We reviewed relevant English-language literature current Study findings race (black, Latino, Asian), incomes were summarized. Results Current trends United States indicate low all adolescents, stagnated between 2011 2012. Low-income adolescents equally more likely start than white higher-income but less complete 3 shots. Provider recommendation is a key factor vaccination, minorities report receiving recommendations vaccination. Conclusions As black, Hispanic, Asian populations continue grow over next several decades, it imperative we not only improve overall, also focus high-risk prevent an increase disparities.
