摘要: This work describes a novel bioreactor system for the cultivation of animal, insect, and plant cells using wave agitation induced by rocking motion. provides good nutrient distribution, off-bottom suspension, excellent oxygen transfer without damaging fluid shear or gas bubbles. Unlike other cell culture systems, such as spinners, hollow-fiber bioreactors, roller bottles, scale-up is simple, has been demonstrated up to 100 L volume. The disposable, therefore requires no cleaning sterilization. Additions sampling are possible need laminar flow cabinet. unit can be placed in an incubator requiring minimal instrumentation. These features dramatically lower purchase cost, operating expenses this laboratory/pilot scale system. Results presented various model systems: 1) recombinant NS0 suspension; 2) adenovirus production human 293 3) Sf9 insect cell/baculovirus system; 4) on microcarrier. examples show general suitability anchorage-dependent culture, virus research GMP applications.
