摘要: Abstract Frozen sections of human placentae taken at selected stages throughout gestation were stained with monoclonal antibodies to HLA-A, B, C and DR antigens, using an indirect immunoperoxidase technique. No staining villous trophoblastic tissue was detected. Antibody antigens clearly membranous elements the stroma. HLA-DR rare, elongated cells stroma in term placenta. Monoclonal syncytiotrophoblast membrane used as a control. This antigen distribution confirmed by absorption these radioimmunoassay. Adult spleen homogenate gave much stronger than trophoblast preparation or antigens. The opposite pattern observed anti-trophoblast antibodies. Detergent solubilisation did not affect capacity for Maternal antibody could be eluted from areas placental washing physiological pH, but this effect binding Thus HLA masked preformed maternal alloantibody. These observations confirm that chorionic does express detectable antigen. may principal reason lack rejection fetal allograft.
