摘要: Between January and March 2001, an outbreak of jaundice hemorrhagic fever occurred in the state Minas Gerais, Southeast region Brazil, which a mortality rate 53% was reported. Seroconversion, virus isolation, histopathological immunohistochemical findings, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) identified yellow (YFV) as etiological agent responsible for outbreak. Partial nucleotide sequence analysis from fragment YFV genome spanning parts nonstructural (NS) 5 gene 3' noncoding (3' UTR) showed that involved this belongs to South American genotype I differs Brazilian 1996.
