摘要: This paper introduces a comparative study on the design of aerospace actuators concerning induction motor and permanent-magnet technologies. In analysis undertaken, two candidate configurations are evaluated in terms both their electromagnetic thermal behaviors combined manner. On first step, basic dimensioning fundamental operational characteristics determined via time-stepping finite-element analysis. The consideration robustness proposed is integrated procedure through appropriate handling respective constraints. As result, all comparisons carried out common evacuation basis. second single objective optimization employed, considering several performance efficiency indexes using weights. Manufacturing construction-related costs for investigated topologies considered by employing specific penalty functions. impact utilized materials also examined. resultant designs have been validated manufactured prototypes, illustrating suitability actuation.
