摘要: Citation analyses normally investigate the number of citations publications (e.g. by people, institutions or journals) where information on times cited from bibliographic databases (such as Scopus Web Science) is evaluated. But in recent years, a series works have also been published which undertaken change perspective and are based evaluation references. The references used to calculate cited. Since these evaluations led important insights into science scientometric indicators, this paper presents an overview methods references, examples some empirical results studies presented. Thus, investigation allows general statements be made precision citation analyses, offers alternatives for normalization numbers framework research using impact. Via analysis historical roots areas decisive importance area can determined. References allow quantitative interdisciplinarity units overall growth science. use selection specific enables possibility measuring impact target-oriented (i.e. limited areas). As shown, identification with high creative content seems possible via possibilities presented here reference indicate great potential data source. We assume that there additional its application scientometrics.
