摘要: A salmon cystatin cDNA clone was isolated from a chum library. The encoded full-length extracellular-type and its signal peptide included 5'- 3'-untranslated regions. deduced amino acid sequence showed high degree of similarity to mammalian C, chicken egg cystatin, pituitary cystatin. By Northern blot analysis, the found show apparently non-tissue specific expression. Because platyfish EHS cells transfected with expression vector produced 13 kDa mature in culture medium, considered act as an extracellular type fish cells. These findings indicate that is homolog C.
