摘要: Abstract The transferred arc plasma process is characterized by extremely high temperatures, low environmental impact and short processing time. By virtue of temperature power density it paves the way for a production rate. Hence an experiment was undertaken to synthesize mullite from dissociation sillimanite through thermal processing. For this purpose, (TAP) torch specially designed on laboratory scale level operating parameters were optimized in order achieve maximum percentage with time cost effectiveness. phase microstructure formation processed samples analyzed X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscope (SEM) images. obtained results clearly show that input strongly influence formation. present TAP gives (95%) at 15 kW 4 min
