摘要: Abstract Woodfruticosin (woodfordin C) (WFC), a new inhibitor of DNA topoisomerase II (topo-II), was isolated from methanol extract Woodfordia fruticosa Kurz (Lythraceae) and studied for in vitro vivo antitumor activities comparison with Adriamycin ® (ADR) etoposide (ETP), well known inhibitors topo-II. The inhibitory activity against topo-II shown by WFC much stronger than that ETP or ADR. inhibited strongly intracellular synthesis but not RNA protein synthesis. On the other hand, had weaker growth various human tumor cells ADR, it showed remarkable PC-1 moderate MKN45 KB cells. Furthermore, s.c. inoculated colon38. These results indicate mechanism which exhibits may be through inhibition
