摘要: Abstract Background & Aims: It has been reported that patients with chronic renal failure have low serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine (ALT) levels as a result of vitamin B 6 deficiency. Chronic hepatitis C is common among undergoing hemodialysis, cause diagnostic problems. The aim this study was to determine the hypoaminotransferasemia. Methods: Serum its coenzyme were reassessed in relation AST ALT long-term hemodialysis using high-performance liquid chromatography. Results: mean (±SD) 304 negative for surface antigen anti-hepatitis virus 9.2 ± 2.4 7.4 1.7 IU/L, respectively. In 556 normal adults, they 22.7 5.4 18.0 4.0 respectively ( P pyridoxal-5′-phosphate dialysis not reduced compared control, although occasionally had levels. assay reagents Japan do contain added pyridoxal-5′-phosphate; addition (0.1 mmol/L) reagent significantly increased measurements similar extents both groups. Conclusions: are very low, but upper limits should be considerably, these interpreted caution diagnosis liver disease.
