摘要: The ability to detect and respond varying oxygen tension is an essential prerequisite life. Several mechanisms regulate the cellular response including prolyl hydroxylase domain (PHD)/factor inhibiting HIF (FIH)-hypoxia inducible factor (HIF) pathway, cysteamine (2-aminoethanethiol) dioxygenase (ADO) system, lysine-specific demethylases (KDM) 5A KDM6A. Using a systems-based approach we discuss literature on sensing pathways in context of virus replication different tissues that experience variable tension. Current information supports model where PHD-HIF pathway enhances viruses infecting under low oxygen, however, reverse true for with selective tropism higher environments. Differences associated signaling may play important role viral pathogenesis. Thus, pharmaceutical agents modulate activity could provide novel treatment options infections pathological conditions.
