Imagination, Delusion and Hallucinations

摘要: Chris Frith has argued that a loss of the sense agency is central to schizophrenia. This suggests connection between hallucinations and delusions on one hand, misidentification subject’s imaginings as perceptions beliefs other. In particular, understanding mechanisms underlie imagination may help us explain puzzling phenomena thought insertion withdrawal. sometimes states his argument in terms metarepresentational capacity I argue this formulation unhelpful.
