摘要: This article addresses the problem of identifying conditions according to which it is possible distinguish between a descriptive theory and normative theory. What makes normative? The focus on subjective expected utility theories where seems open debate whether appropriate use or descriptive. My discussion, takes arguments by Isaac Levi Hugh Mellor as points departure, mostly negative, showing that there are no obvious distinguishing features qua theories. Rather, can be used normatively descriptively without making them one kind other. I also point situations in prescriptive decision analysis should observant what way used.
